Please take note of the following processes and expectations when seeking employment with our community:
  • ENSURE YOU UNDERSTAND & FOLLOW JOB POSTINGS  i.e., late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • JOB POSTINGS are short versions of job descriptions, please contact HR for full job descriptions.
  • THREE (3) REFERENCE LETTERS; two (2) from your direct Supervisor/Boss or Professors/Education Instructor for entry type (youth new to the workforce) applicants; one (1) character reference letter from co-worker/friend. Ensure letters are properly signed and dated within 1½ years to be current and on letterhead. Reference letters will be followed up with a reference check phone call.
  • EDUCATION CERTIFICATION is required; bonus points are provided in the screening process for any hard copies attached to your application.
  • COMMUNITY KNOWLEDGE, our traditions, customs; understanding and speaking our Anishnabek language are considered strong assets and are incorporated into the whole Recruitment and Selection process.  It is very important to know who we are as Anishnabek people per Chief & Council Anishnabek Language Declaration Band Council Resolution.`

  • We have a 5 week turn-around time, from posting to hiring.
  • All Regular Full-Time hires will continue to be ratified by Chief & Council.
  • Term Full-Time new hires will be approved by the Enaagdenjged/Band Manager.
