Program Overview
In additional to regular home visits, M'Chigeeng Healthy Babies Healthy Children Program hosts one social per month This gives families a chance to:
* Socialize with other families
* Learn about traditional teachings
* Learn new inexpensive crafts and games in a group setting
* Listen to guest speakers, topics include; healthy eating, school readiness, fussy eaters, etc.
* Learn about other services

- Is a cultural approach to supporting children and families
CLIENT BASED SERVICES
Home Visiting
* Intake and information gathering
* Providing family support
* Information and education to the family
* Provide post-natal contact within 72 hours of returning home with baby
Family Service Plan
* Intended to identify and build program/service links
* Identify additional support or resources that may be required
* Referring the client/family to other screening and support services
* Service plans are reviewed and updated as required
Service Coordination
Connect or linking the family to programs and services to support baby/child healthy development, eg. Dietician, Nurses, Social Service Workers, Midwives, Community Health Reps, Community Wellness Workers, as well as Case Management/Case Conferencing.
