M’NENDAMOWIN?
What is M’Nendamowin?
M’Nendamowin is an Ojibwe word that means "a good way of thinking" and represents the work we do in the community.
Program Description
M’Nendamowin Health Services is a division of the M’Chigeeng Health Centre; providing Mental Health & Addictions Counselling. We provide these services to M’Chigeeng Band Members.
The service delivery model includes a blend of both Traditional and Western forms of intervention. Services include both direct and indirect mental health and addictions services; Direct Services are those being provided through clinical interventions such as counselling, advocacy, referral and support. Indirect Services are those being provided through mental health promotion, community based prevention activities and public education and awareness.
CLINICAL INTERVENTIONS
The Mental Health and Alternatives Worker provide:
Program staff are involved in delivering or coordinating mental Health and addictions awareness and skill building workshops. Educational session on mental health and addiction issues are promoted on a regular basis throughout the year. SUPERVISION AND PROFESSIONAL CONSULTATIONS M’Nendamowin Health Staff are supervised by the Clinic Manager and the Health Services Department Manager. Staff have access to Psychiatric & Psychological consultations from visiting professionals. We also provide office space for clinical partners who want to see their M’Chigeeng clients in M’Chigeeng. |

Maintain a standard of personal conduct directed to promoting the best interest of the organization, other health facilities and programs. 3. Observe at all times the existing local provincial and federal laws in the fulfillment of their duties. 4. Satisfy the duty of loyalty, fidelity and confidentiality. 5. Conduct dealings on behalf of and within M’Nendamowin Health Services in a manner that is honest and ethical.
