Aanii! This month we have been teaching 16 clan animals and 14 verbs. In addition to this vocabulary, the students are learning to combine them to form sentences such as:

Amik wiisni. - The beaver is eating.

The students will have heard:
(Student), wiisnin dbishkoo amik. - (Student), eat like the beaver.

The student response would be:

Mii go genii wiisniyaanh. - I am eating, too.

For a list of the vocabulary the children have been practicing, and will practice during the January 2015 Game Night, please download the attached PDF file:

During the month of October, students have been learning parts of the body. You can learn, too!

Below you will see interactive flash cards. There are also audio clips.
On the bottom right of the flash cards, you will see a drop-down menu that says "Choose a study mode." Click on that, and you will discover other ways to learn the parts of the body in Ojibwe.
There's even a game called "scatter" - an ARP team favourite!
