Did you go fishing sometimes?

Not really I only remember going one time with the late Louis Paul over at what is called Otter Lake in the fall.  We walked straight along that road at the back of the ball ground.

We cut across along the bluffs, you would say that is where that road leads. Before we went to school that was early in the morning in the fall.  There was ice already on the water. It had already froze. Again the following day.  The ice would break as he paddled, the ice was crackling as he set the net. He had caught a great amount of the.whitefish. Whitefish We had to carry an entirely heavy load back from there.

A big tub of whitefish Yes.  All the fish looked very good.  That was where we used to go. That old man was the one that did the fishing. My father, I don't remember him fishing at all or to hunt. The late louis paul didn't do any hunting.he only went fishing

He knew when he was going to pass on that old man

He gave archie the fishing net so archie could go  net fishing too. We tried archie and I.

We went there when fall came. We couldn't get anything, we didn't get anything.

And someone mentioned (said) that the old man must have cleaned out that net.

We went to the same place

That is what the person said.

I wonder if it was the old lady that had said that.

That net should have been smudged.aye before it was thrown into the water again.Thats what ah I think she used cedar to smudge it

So it will be clean again, but we did not do that.
